WD-40: This can be very beneficial for stains or lines that have been sitting for a while.

First, spray around the toilet and directly on the areas that need attention. The trick is youll have to let the WD-40 sit for about 5 to 10 minutes (depending on the age of the stains). After it has sat you can then scrub off with your traditional toilet brush scrubber.

WD-40 also works great for removing grease, grime and rust from sinks – from our own testing we also found it to be more effective and efficient at removing hard water stains, toilet bowl rings and more.

Rinse and repeat up to 3 times and allow to sit 10 minutes for really tough stains and residue.

Vinegar and water is all you need! You can add a slice of lemon to give a fresh smell but it’s not required.

Here is all you need – You probably have all of this lying around your home already:

Microwave-safe bowl Stir Stick Vinegar Water Sponge or Rag to wipe

Use half a cup of vinegar and a half cup of water. (Optional) add a lemon slice for a fresh lemon smell. Mix the solution for an even distribution

Microvave on medium to high (depending on how deep of a clean you need) for 5 to 10 minutes

5 minutes for lighter cleanings and up to 10 minutes for really deep cleans

After it’s finished you must remove the bowl with oven mitts as it will be extremely hot. You can open the microvave and let the steam escape for about 30-45 seconds prior.

You should be able to wipe away any tough residue with a sponge, rag or wipe. If you find some gunk/build up is still stuck you can repeat the process although from our tests this has worked flawlessy on the first try!

  • 1/4 Cup of your favorite scent Downy Unstopables
  • 2 Tablespoons baking soda
  • 3 Cups HOT water
  • 32 oz. Empty spray bottle

Total cost per bottle: About $0.65 vs. $4.80 for a bottle at the store.

In a mixing bowl or measuring cup combine all the ingredients and stir. Allow them to dissolve for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. After the 30 minutes, your beads and baking soda should be dissolved. Add your mixture to a spray bottle. My spray bottle is 14 ounces. Then fill the rest of your bottle with water.

You can add more or less scent to adjust to your personal needs/personal preference.

Tip 2: You can combine the ingredients directly in the spray bottle using a funnel then shake well every few minutes until dissolved if you prefer; it’s not necessary to use a mixing bowl.

Most of us have Coca-Cola around and it doesn’t have to be just a refreshing drink. Coke is similar to an acidic cleaner. The quantity of acid in soda is sufficient to erode at the enamel of your teeth, making them more vulnerable to decay. So why buy those expensive cleaners when you can perfectly clean those stubborn stains with Coke. You can use it for a variety of household chores, here are the top 5:

1. Remove grease stains from clothing and fabric

2. Clean a toilet; pour around bowl, leave for a while, flush clean

3. Clean tile grout; pour onto kitchen floor, leave for a few minutes, wipe up.

4. Descale your kettle

5. Remove marker stains from your carpet. Apply Coke, scrub and then clean with soapy water

6. Clean your windows; soak a cloth with Coke and rub your window. Then simply wash the glass pane with water

7. Wipe your glasses with a rag dipped in Coke

8. Prevent your sink from clogging by pouring Coke into it

Sometimes overtime your sink may clog or drainage may be slow. You can use a plunger to help restore flow by creating pressure and remove any obstructing debris or gunk along the way.

We recommend using a little bit of Coke & Vinegar mixed (about 1-2 cups of each) then take the plunger and push downwards at several times. Afterwards run hot water and continue pushing the plunger through until you notice an improvement in flow.

The acid in the Coke & vinegar along with the pressure will help remove gunk that has been “stuck” for longer period of times.

Lemon is great for the skin, exfoliating and rejunivating the body.

After you use lemon juice for cleaning you can actually make use of the lemon peels rather than just wasting them.

The lemon peels can be great for dry or cracked feet, in fact just after a few uses you’ll notice that your skin is more soft and the calluses will benefit from improvement.

Here’s what you do:

Use a lemon peel that conforms to the shape of your heel – usually by cutting the lemon in half horiztonally the ends will be able to conform to your heel. Some light stretching of the peel may be needed. Only the peel is needed, if some juice remains that is okay as well (and a little is preferred).

You’ll want to leave the lemon peel in for at least one hour at a time, some individuals will even sleep with the peel in their sock, however that is not necessary.

You’ll need to repeat the process a mininum of 3 times over the period of the week to see noticeable improvement. Use a new peel each time of course, each lemon is good for 2 uses.
