We learned a lot from last week’s sale and are crazy enough to try it again. So we’re having ANOTHER Very Merry Flash Scentsy Sale from 9 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. PT Wednesday, Nov. 16. We didn’t make this decision lightly. We surveyed Consultant leaders and read through your posts and comments on Facebook. After a lengthy discussion, our executive team decided to move forward.
Sales create excitement, build momentum and entice customers to purchase not just sale products, but full-price products as well. However, because sales cause a HUGE increase in daily volume, they can create issues, and we know it wasn’t a great experience for many of you and your customers.
We’ve looked at the biggest issues from last week’s sale – error messages during checkout, the slow system and duplicate orders or charges – and made some adjustments to create a better experience this time:
- We’ve removed generic error messages. Generic error messages are used for many errors, when in most cases the error was caused by an item selling out before a customer reached checkout. A Consultant or customer will now see a detailed message when an item is out of stock, and that item will automatically be removed from the cart.
- We’re implementing a queuing system to help improve speed and direct visitors to your Personal Website (PWS) as capacity allows. In the first three hours of last week’s sale, we had more than 38,000 visitors! Lots of traffic is great, but it does slow down the system. We’ll display a banner at the top of your PWS to let customers know we’re experiencing high traffic.
- We’ve taken steps to prevent duplicate orders and charges. However, please discourage your customers from hitting Refresh or hitting Submit multiple times.
Please keep in mind that, just as with any Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale, you and your customers may experience system slowness. The queuing system will redirect visitors to your PWS shopping experience as soon as a spot opens up.
This week’s sale will feature savings of up to 80 percent off, including BOGO Scentsy Buddies* and BOGO Porcelain Ornaments. We’ll post a sale product list to your News tab the afternoon of Tuesday, Nov. 15. To help us control traffic, we encourage you to look at the product list instead of browsing for these items on your PWS. All sale products are available while supplies last.
It is entirely up to you to decide whether you want to participate in and promote this sale. We will NOT email your customers on your behalf to promote the sale. If you do choose to promote the sale, we’ll post promotional images to the Marketing tab of your Workstation the afternoon of Tuesday, Nov. 15. Using these images will ensure your customers are linked to your Personal Website (PWS).
The VERY MERRY FLASH SALE will be offered in the U.S. and Canada, with similar sales beginning in early December in Mexico, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
The VERY MERRY FLASH SALE is available through your PWS only. You and your customers will be able to attach PWS orders to parties, but it MUST be done during the sale. Due to the enormous number of orders we are expecting, we WILL NOT attach any orders to parties after an order has been submitted. Please do not contact Consultant Support asking for PWS orders to be added to party order.
